Rúben Filipe Nascimento Marques completed a BSc in Biology by the University of Aveiro, Portugal, in 2017, which included a one-year internship at the company ALGAplus (Ílhavo, Portugal). Since then have been working with different research groups in areas such as plant physiology, seaweed aquaculture and photobiology. My previous works entitled "Optimization of Porphyra dioica conchocelis growth and conchosporangia maturation" (internship) and recently "Effects of light on the photobiology and growth of the commercially valuable macroalgae Codium tomentosum", as result of his MSc in Marine Biology at University of Aveiro (2019), are examples of that experience. Rúben managed to gather expertise from seaweed aquaculture (IMTA systems), plantphotophysiology allways aiming for marine algae. Currently has been working as a fellow researcher on the FCT project CtLight (PTDC/BIAFBT/30979/2017).
