Catarina Ribeiro has a degree in Chemistry and a master's degree in Medicinal Chemistry. She is currently completing her PhD in Chemistry at the University of Aveiro. During her PhD, she honed her skills in Organic Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Electrochemistry, and Batteries (Li-ion and Na-ion batteries). During this period, she also supervised a master's student during her stay with the ELECTROMOLMAT group in Aveiro. She also participated in supporting undergraduate classes in subjects such as Fundamentals of Chemistry and Chemistry Laboratories I. She was part of the CAD (comission of PhD students) organisation at the University of Aveiro, where she participated in the organisation of scientific and social events for CICECO doctoral students, as well as representing them. She was also part of the organising committee for two symposiums during her master's and doctoral studies. In total, she has published six scientific articles in high-impact journals (e.g. JACS, Batteries and Supercaps, etc.). During her doctoral studies, Catarina undertook several international stays to learn more about the field of batteries. These included Santiago de Compostela (CIQUS) and Belgium (UCLouvain). She has also had the opportunity to present her work in both poster and oral presentations at national and international conferences. Catarina's other interests include tutoring and trying to help primary and secondary school students, as well as promoting science. She competed in ballroom dancing for 10 years. She loves reading and learning about other cultures, as well as travelling and visiting other countries.
