António José dos Santos Pernas é doutorado em Estudos Culturais pela Universidade de Aveiro, Mestre em Estudos Comparados - Literatura e outras Artes pela Universidade Aberta de Lisboa e licenciado em Estudos Portugueses e Lusófonos com um Minor em Estudos Literários e Artísticos pela mesma universidade. É investigador do Centro de Línguas, Literaturas e Culturas da Universidade de Aveiro e membro do Grupo de Estudos Género e Performance (GECE) e Núcleo de Estudos em Cultura e Ócio (NECO). Na sua tese de doutoramento investigou nos idosos da nossa atualidade, octogenários, a hipótese de uma persistência das matrizes ideológicas do Salazarismo dos anos 1930 e 40, especificamente, no que respeita às suas práticas e discursos políticos. Os seus domínios de atuação estão centrados nos Estudos Culturais, bem como nas Ciências Socias e Humanidades. António José dos Santos Pernas has a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Aveiro, an MA in Comparative Studies - Literature and other Arts from the Universidade Aberta in Lisbon and a degree in Portuguese and Lusophone Studies with a Minor in Literary and Artistic Studies from the same university. He is a researcher at the Center for Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Aveiro and a member of the Gender and Performance Studies Group (GECE) and the Center for Studies in Culture and Leisure (NECO). In her doctoral thesis, he investigated the hypothesis that the ideological matrices of Salazarism from the 1930s and 40s persist in today's elderly, octogenarians, specifically with concern to their political practices and discourses. Her fields of work are centered on Cultural Studies, as well as Social Sciences and Humanities.
