BA (2009-12) and MA (2012-13) in History from the UNED. Interuniversity PhD from the University of Burgos (2013-17) with the dissertation "Caracterización y variabilidad tecnomorfológica de las industrias achelenses de la cuenca baja de río Miño (NW de la Península Ibérica)", wich was qualified as “Sobresaliente cum laude” and awarded the Extraordinary Prize in Science. I am currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Vigo thanks to a 3-year competitive contract (ED481B 2018/063) to support postdoctoral research in the Galician University system (SUG). During this time, I have spent 29 months of research abroad at the University of Lisbon and Minho (Portugal) and the ARCCH (Ethiopia). Additionally, I have more than 20 national and international archaeological directions and more than 15 years of fieldwork experience. My research is focused, first, on the study of Lower Palaeolithic and Acheulean technocomplex human groups in Europe and Africa. I study behavioural aspects associated with variability and the technological characterisation of stone tools. Moreover, I analyse the processes of formation and distribution of intra-site spatial patterns using GIS and geo-statistics procedures. Finally, I develop other secondary lines of research focused on Palaeolithic and post-Palaeolithic rock-art in the northwest, as well as some archaeological features of the Late Prehistory of the same region. My research is carried out as PI or CO-PI of international research groups in relevant Acheulean sites such as Porto Maior, Arbo or Gándaras de Budiño (Galicia), the Acheulean sites of Minho (Portugal) or in the archaeological complex of Melka Kunture (Ethiopia). I am also a member of the research teams of the Acheulean and Mousterian sites in the middle basin of the Guadiana River -El Sotillo and Porzuna- (Ciudad Real), Cuesta de la Bajada (Teruel), as well as the Olduvai Gorge (Tanzania). I have participated as PI, Co-PI, researcher, or advisor in more than 20 R&D projects with a global value of ~900000€. I currently have 108 publications, including articles in national (17) and international (25) scientific journals, books or monographs (6) and book chapters (25); and 35 communications in national and international conferences. I am the first author in 62 times, 23 in papers, 5 in books/monographs, 18 in books chapters, and 16 in communications in conferences. My papers have been published in journals such as Quaternary International (7), Scientific Report (1), Journal of Archaeological Science (1), Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports (3), Archaeological and Anthropological Sciences (1), Palevol (1), Journal of Paleolithic Archaeology (1), L’Anthropologie (1), Zephyrus (2), Complutum (2), or Spal (1). The articles have a significant number of citations (356 citations in Google Scholar, 152 in Scopus and 120 in WoS), and now my h-index is 10 in Google Scholar, 6 in Scopus and 6 in WoS. I have worked as a curator and advisor in national exhibitions. Additionally, I have participated in different dissemination forums linked to my research topics. I have also worked as a consultant and scientific advisor for private companies in the context of archaeology projects. As regards the formation of young researchers, I have ~160 hours of recognised university teaching in several undergraduate courses at the University of Vigo and in two MA degrees (University of Santiago de Compostela and University of Lisbon). I am currently supervising one doctoral dissertation and 3 MA dissertations. I have participated in 3 doctoral PhD dissertation committees as full member and once (1) as a substitute. I regularly carry out review tasks for national and international journals (JAS: Rep, AAS, JHE, Scientific Reports, QI...) and/or conferences in my area of expertise. Finally, I have also worked as an external evaluator of projects for international R&D organisations (e.g., Israel Science Foundation).
