I graduated in Biological Sciences (Marine Biology) in 2012 from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), Brazil. Throughout two of the four years of my graduation, I participated in the project HABITAT from CENPE/PETROBRAS through taxonomic identification of zooplankton at the Zooplankton and Ichthyoplankton Integrated Laboratory (LIZI). In 2015, I applied to the Masters in Ecology Program (UFRJ) and joined the Reef Systems Ecology and Conservation Lab (LECAR), as an associated researcher. In 2021, I started the Doctoral Program in Biotechnology (Marine) at the University of Aveiro, and my PhD project is about valorising macroalgae for food and high-value products by optimizing sustainable biomass production and its biochemical characterization.
