I am a biologist with experience in biodiversity, ecology and conservation. My main interests encompass numerical ecology and behavioral ecology, but I can't resist a compelling question from any field. Broadly, I am drawn by ecological and evolutionary questions that test and link several ecological theories and models. After years of working with different types of data on R, I feel very confident exploring larga databases and with statistical testing of hypotheses. I have experience in frog taxonomy working in the Museum of Zoology of the USFQ, with whom I described a new species of Pristimantis. Also I have been part of several studies in primate conservation and behavioural ecology, having worked on censuses, literature reviews and experimental studies. For my master's thesis I analyzed a metabarcoding dietary base for inferring intraspecific ecological niche patterns in birds from Portugal. Recently I started working on a project that aims to estimate the predation impact of invasive mammals and the risk of zoonosis in São Tomé island. In addition, I continue collaborating as researcher at the Institute of Tropical Biological Diversity iBIOTROP, USFQ, in Ecuador.
