Luca Verzelloni

Luca Verzelloni is an Assistant Professor of Sociology of Organization at the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Milano-Bicocca. After obtaining his PhD in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento in 2009, he has held research and teaching positions at the following national and foreign institutions: University of Bologna, Italian National Research Council, University of Coimbra and ENS Paris-Saclay. Currently, he is associate researcher at the Centre for Social Studies (CES) of the University of Coimbra and at the Institute of Legal Informatics and Judicial Systems of the Italian National Research Council (IGSG-CNR). Among his publications may be mentioned: "Dietro alla cattedra del giudice" [Behind the judge's desk] (Pendragon, 2009); "Through the practice lens" (with G. Corradi e S. Gherardi, Management Learning, 2010); "Gli avvocati nella giustizia civile" [Lawyers in the civil justice] (Carocci, 2015); "I percorsi di innovazione dei sistemi giudiziari del sud Europa" [The innovation paths of the judicial systems of Southern Europe] (Studi Organizzativi, 2019); "Pratiche di sapere" [Practices of knowledge] (Rubbettino, 2019); "Paradossi dell'innovazione" [Paradoxes of innovation] (Carocci, 2020); "Riformare la giustizia del lavoro fra disuguaglianze e inefficienze" [Reforming labour justice between inequalities and inefficiencies] (Stato e Mercato, 2020). His research interests are centred on: organization, innovation, and governance of complex organizational systems – with particular reference to justice systems; perverse and paradoxical effects of innovation; organizational learning processes; processes of institutionalization of expert knowledge; organizational accidents.
