Solange Rito Lima (solange@di.uminho.pt) graduated in 1992, received her MSc and PhD degrees in Computer Communications from the University of Minho, Braga, Portugal, in 1997 and 2006, respectively. She is currently an Assistant Professor in Computer Communications at the Department of Informatics, University of Minho, and a member of the Computer Communications and Networks (CCN) research group. Her research interests include multiservice networks and protocols, traffic control, monitoring issues in IP networks, and emerging network technologies. She is a European Commission expert project reviewer (ID: EX2016D274534) for the Horizon Europe EIC Pathfinder, Horizon 2020, and FP7 programmes, as well as a TPC member of IEEE and IFIP conferences, acting also as a reviewer of ACM and IEEE journals. She participated in the EQUAL-IST (Gender Equality Plans for Information Sciences and Technology Research Institutions) project funded by EU Horizon 2020 and was the Project Coordinator of the project “Machine Learning Techniques Applied to Cognitive 5G Network Management”, involving the University of Minho and Altice Labs. From 2017 to 2021, she integrated the Board of Directors at the Department of Informatics as Vice Head-of-Department.
