I earned my Ph.D. in Informatics from the University of Minho, where I researched Ambient Intelligence (AmI), Behavioural Analysis, and the intersection between Artificial Intelligence and Law. I focused on processing and deriving insights from legal information and Conflict Resolution topics. I also hold a Master of Science in Informatics and a bachelor's degree in Computing Sciences from the same University. While completing my Ph.D., I was a lecturer and later became an assistant professor at different institutions, including the University of Minho and the Polytechnic of Porto. I am an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Informatics at the School of Management and Technology at the Polytechnic Institute of Porto. Additionally, I serve as the director of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Cybersecurity, Networks, and IT Systems and Deputy Director of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Legal IT. Over the years, I have taught several computer science and cybersecurity curricular units. After years of scientific collaboration with the Algoritmi Centre (University of Minho) and participation in several national and international scientific projects, I have become a researcher at the CIICESI - Centre for Research and Innovation in Business Sciences and Information Systems. My areas of research interest include Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, and Informatics applied to Law. Throughout my academic and scientific career, I have focused on incorporating Artificial Intelligence into Computer Science and Law. I have researched and applied AI algorithms designed to validate and provide an understanding of the difficulties of technically and algorithmically capturing and computing domain-related information in an intelligent environment. I have also contributed to scientific production by authoring and co-authoring 30 indexed papers in these fields.
