Kiryl Zakharchuk obtained Degree in Chemistry from the Belarusian State University in 2007 and Integrated Master Degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 2017. He defended his PhD thesis entitled "Electrochemical NOx removal using a reversible solid oxide cell with selective electrocatalysts" and obtained PhD degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 2023. Kiryl Zakharchuk joined CICECO - Aveiro Institute of Materials, a leading national Materials Science and Engineering institution, in 2011. Since then, he participated as a team member in the implementation of 12 R&D projects and international cooperations with national and European funding. His research interests lie in the fields of Solid State Chemistry, Electrochemistry and Materials Science, with emphasis on the synthesis and characterization of complex metal oxides, high- and intermediate-temperature electrical and electrochemical measurements, engineering of ceramic and composite materials for electrochemical and (electro)catalytic applications, materials for energy conversion, storage and harvesting, solid oxide fuel/electrolysis cell technology. Kiryl published 24 papers in international SCI journals (Scopus: 205 citations, h-index 11), 2 papers in other peer-reviewed journals, and 1 paper in conference proceedings. He personally delivered 9 oral and 3 poster presentations at international scientific conferences, and coauthors 18 other oral and poster presentations. Relevant experience over the past five years includes mentoring MSc students in experimental work and active participation in local scientific events at the CICECO and the University of Aveiro.
