Florindo José Mendes Gaspar

Florindo Gaspar is Professor at the School of Technology and Management and researcher at the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development (CDRSP) of the Polytechnic of Leiria, where was responsible for the Laboratory of Building Materials and Coordinator of the graduation and master degree programs in Civil Engineering. At the present he is responsible for the PrintBig laboratory at CDRSP. He is member of the Portuguese Technical Commission CT14 (wood) of the Portuguese Institute of Quality and is responsible for the sub-commission 4 (timber structures). He has a PhD in Civil Engineering by the University of Lisbon. His main research focus is related with innovative and sustainable materials and construction processes, wood and masonry structures. He was involved in 18 technical consultancy studies. He is author of 18 Scopus indexed papers, 12 journal papers, 22 conference papers, 8 book chapters, co-editor of 2 books. He was supervisor of 1 post-doc student and 17 MSc students. He is/was involved in 9 research projects, 2 international and 2 as PI.
