I am a postdoctoral researcher at CICANT – Centre for Research in Applied Communication, Culture, and New Technologies, at Lusofona University, Portugal. At CICANT, I integrate the MeLCi Lab – Media Literacy and Civic Cultures Lab and the research project Youth, News and Digital Citizenship – YouNDigital (PTDC/COM-OUT/0243/2021). I also serve as a researcher at DCU's Institute for Future Media, Democracy and Society (Fujo) at Dublin City University, Ireland, as part of the TeaMLit project – Teacher Training in Digital Education and Media – funded by the European Media and Information Fund (EMIF). I am also a research associate in the DMSO group (Digital Media and Society Observatory) at the Federal University of São Paulo (Unifesp), Brazil. I was also an Early-Stage-Researcher in the JOLT ETN Project on 'Harnessing Digital and Data Technology for Journalism', a Marie Sklodowska-Curie Training Network funded by the European Commission's Horizon 2020 at Dublin City University, Ireland. I completed my Master's in Communication Studies, emphasising Journalism, at the Higher Institute of Social and Political Sciences (ISCSP) of the University of Lisbon in Portugal. I am also a journalist, graduated from the Methodist University of São Paulo in 2001 in Brazil.

2019/11/01 - 2020/06/30 During my PhD studies and work as an Early-Stage-Researcher, I was able to carry out my 'secondment' (internship) at the University of Navarra, under the supervision of Professor Ramón Salaverría, which resulted in the publication of the book 'Journalism, Data and Technology in Latin America', edited by Prof. Ramón Salaverría and Dr Mathias-Felipe de-Lima-Santos.
