Ricardo Costa completed the Master’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Forestry and Natural Resources Engineering in 2019 and 2015, respectively, in School of Agriculture from University of Lisbon. He is currently a PhD student in Sustainable Land Use, specialization in Forests and Natural Resources in the same University. Since 2019 he has published 8 articles in peer-reviewed journals (2 as leading author) and participated in various conferences as oral and poster presentations. His research and field of expertise pertains the full integration of by-products in a biorefinery concept and the zero waste philosophy: wood and nod-wood lignocellulosic materials characterization, extractives analysis and antioxidant activity, pulp and paper production and characterization. He has experience in various techniques: GC-MS, PY/GC-MS, FTIR, NIR.
