João Alberto Pinto is a Professor at the Department of Philosophy of the University of Porto, where he has been teaching since
1998 (mainly Logic, Philosophy of Mind, Philosophy of Language and Metaphysics, at undergraduate, Masters and Doctoral levels).
He is a founding member of MLAG (Mind, Language and Action Group) of the Institute of Philosophy (start: 2005) and has supervised
a large number of the Master and Doctoral dissertations finished within the research group. He was Head of the Department
of Philosophy (2014-17) and member of the Board of the Portuguese Society for Analytic Philosophy (2006-12 and 2015-18).
