Jorge Cabral received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College London, UK. His research interests include Embedded Systems and Microsystems Technology. Currently, he is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Electronics, Deputy Director of ALGORITMI Research Centre, Administrator/Board of Directors at CEiiA, Scientific Coordinator of Smart & Sustainable Living CoLAB, and Scientific Advisor of R&D Area of Hardware and Sensors at the Digital Transformation CoLAB. He leads several National and European R&D projects in the field of Cyber-Physical Systems and Embedded Applications. He is a FET Open (Horizon2020) expert (evaluation of proposals) since 2019. He authored or co-authored around 100 indexed articles and papers.
