Cristina Sin. Completed a PhD in Educational Research) in 2012 at Lancaster University (UK). She is an assistant professor at Universidade Lusófona do Porto and Researcher at CeiED (Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development). Prior to that, she was a researcher at CIPES (Centre for Research in Higher Education Policies) and at A3ES (Agency for Higher Education Assessment and Accreditation). She was awarded a postdoctoral scholarship by the FCT in 2012. She has published extensively in reputed international peer-reviewed journals in the area of higher education, most of them indexed in Scopus and/or Social Sciences Citation Index (Scopus h-index 12). She has also published several books as co-author and as editor. Has participated in 7 projects and has been a joint-PI in one project, where she was responsible for the study of international students in Portuguese higher education institutions. Her disciplinary area is Education, specifically higher education policies. She has conducted research in topics related to European policies; Bologna Process; policy implementation; employability; internationalisation and international students; institutional practices; national qualifications; student assessment; student attainment; learning and teaching; quality assurance and enhancement; master degrees; access to higher education; industrial doctorates.
