Inês Carvalho

Inês Carvalho is an Associate Professor at Universidade Europeia in Lisbon, an Integrated Member of CETRAD - Center for Transdisciplinary Development Studies, and Collaborator at GOVCOPP Research Unit - Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (University of Aveiro). She has a PhD in Tourism and a Master's in Tourism Management and Planning from the University of Aveiro. She was a visiting doctoral student at Linköping University in Sweden. She has a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures (English and German Studies) from the University of Coimbra. She has published many articles in specialized journals and book chapters. Her main research interests are tourism and languages, the use of large language models in tourism, gender and tourism, tourism and culture and qualitative analysis. She has participated in research projects in the area of gender studies and employment in tourism funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and Turismo de Portugal. She has published several articles in renowned journals, including the Annals of Tourism Research. Inês Carvalho é Professora Auxiliar na Universidade Europeia em Lisboa, Membro Integrado na Unidade de Investigação CETRAD - Center for Transdisciplinary Development Studies e Colaboradora na GOVCOPP - Governança, Competitividade e Políticas Públicas (Universidade de Aveiro). É Doutorada em Turismo e Mestre em Gestão e Planeamento em Turismo pela Universidade de Aveiro, tendo sido doutoranda visitante na Universidade de Linköping, na Suécia. É Licenciada em Línguas e Literaturas Modernas, variante de Estudos Ingleses e Alemães pela Universidade de Coimbra. Publicou vários artigos em revistas especializadas e capítulos de livros. Atua na área do Turismo, sendo os seus principais interesses de investigação a ligação a turismo e línguas, o uso de modelos de linguagem de grande dimensão no turismo, género e turismo, turismo e cultura e análise qualitativa. Tem participado em projetos de investigação na área dos estudos de género e emprego no turismo financiados pela Fundação Portuguesa para a Ciência e Tecnologia e pelo Turismo de Portugal. Tem publicado vários artigos em revistas de renome, incluindo a revista Annals of Tourism Research.
