Raquel Ribeiro started her academic career in 2019 at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto, where she obtained her Bachelor's in Biology with the final grade of fifthteen values. While still an undergraduate student, Raquel engaged in a project called "Less headaches for the wine growers. Application of common aspirin® as a cheaper and environmental-friendly way to increase grape yield and quality" as a researcher. In 2023, she presented an oral presentation showcasing the research findings at the 16th U.PORTO Young Researchers Meeting (IJUP). In 2022 and 2023, she participated in the summer school of the University of Porto (U. Junior) as a monitor of activities for 5th and 6th graders. The pursuit of a more specific area of study led her to embark on the Master's of Aquatic Biological Resources in 2022, where she obtained a final grade of eighteen values. Raquel submitted an article as a shared first author, highlighting her thesis research findings. She is currently enrolled in a paid internship from IEFP at CIIMAR, where she is developing laboratory techniques and acquiring proficiency in maintaining animals in life support systems and animal nutrition studies. Currently works in the area of Natural sciences with emphasis on fish nutrition and welfare, and aquaculture.
