Erickinson Lima is a conductor active both as an artist and a Professor/Researcher. Artistically, he served as conductor and artistic director of the choir of the State of RN, Assistant Conductor of the UFRN Chamber Orchestra (2008-2009); Conductor and Assistant Coordinator of Symphonic Orchestra of UFRN (2010-2018). As a result of his leading, Erickinson brilliantly conducted the UFRN assembles (the Symphonic Orchestra and Choir) in concerts at St. Peter's Basilica (Vatican), in a papal audience at Sala Paulo VI (Vatican City) and at the Brazilian Embassy in Rome, Italy. In 2022, he was a guest conductor of one of the biggest Brazilian choirs, the Coral Paulistano of the São Paulo Municipal Theater, interpretating pieces of latin-americans composers. During his career as a conductor, he performed several World Premieres of orchestral and choral works by renowned contemporary composers. Academically, he is Doctor (Ph.D with distinction and praise) and Master in Orchestral Conducting, by the University of Aveiro (Portugal), and Postgraduate in Conducting with emphasis on Contemporary and Chamber Music, by UFRN. During his graduation in Music, he served as a class assistant in the conducting course, being awarded for his outstanding activities. Erickinson Lima joined as a researcher (2015-2019) the renowned Institute of Ethnomusicology - Center for Studies in Music and Dance, INET-MD, Aveiro, in Music Creation, Theory, and Technologies. He was a member of the UFRN Automation and Robotics Laboratory as an invited researcher (2016-2018), and a guest researcher at the Center for Research in Music Conducting and Interpretation (2018-2021), at the State University of Ceará. In 2022 he was the founder and co-coordinator of the Center of Research and Advanced Studies in Conducting, at UFRN. Also, given the notoriety and relevance of his actions as a professor and researcher, he was invited to join the select group of evaluators of the renowned Times Higher Education World University Rankings, London, 2022 and 2023. During his career thus far, he developed numerous activities as a conductor, researcher and educator at the following institutions: Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte; Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Rio Grande do Norte; State University of Paraná and; State University of Rio Grande do Norte. Nowadays, after a rigorous international selection, he was approved with the highest grade (he was the first place in the contest) in the education panel of the Individual Call to Scientific Employment Stimulus - 5th Edition of FCT (Foundation for Science and Technology) - being now a PH.D Reseracher from CIDTFF (Research Center on Didactics and Technology In the Education of Trainers), a Research Unit Located at the Department of Education and Psychology of the University of Aveiro (Portugal).
