I'm a Sleep and Respiratory Physiologist at the Sleep and NIV Unit - São João University Hospital. My degree is in Clinical Physiology (Porto Health School), with a master's degree in Medical Informatics from the Faculty of Medicine - University of Porto. I specialized in the Respiratory and Sleep field, with several courses, such as the Sleep Medicine Course (University of Edinburgh) and the postgraduate course on Non-Invasive Ventilation. I am certified as a Somnologist by the European Sleep Research Society, and in Respiratory Function by the European Respiratory Society. I'm part of CINTESIS's research group 'Artificial Intelligence for Health (AI4Health)' and I am attending the doctoral program in Health Data Science at FMUP, where I focus my research mainly on the use of artificial intelligence methods to improve diagnosis in Sleep Medicine. Since 2023, I have also been a visiting assistant professor at the Porto School of Health.
