I have obtained a Bachelor Degree in Biology in 2012, and an International Master, in Biotechnology of the Environmental and Health in 2015, both at the University of Oviedo, Spain. I have a PhD in Sciences (Cum laude) with international mention since 2020 by the National Distance Education University (UNED), Madrid Spain. During my PhD training, I did two international research stays (3 months each) in Museo delle Scienza (Muse), Trento, Italy and Centro de Estudos do Ambiente e do Mar (CESAM), University of Aveiro (UA), Portugal in 2018 and 2019 respectively. Currently I am working as Margarita Salas postdoctoral researcher at CESAM/UA, and involved in the H2020 funded, European Project SPRINT. I have focused my research on the evaluation of xenobiotic and physical factors on aquatic invertebrates mainly on sub-organismal response, employing biochemical biomarkers, gene expression analysis and omics technologies. I have participated as team member in two research projects, from the Spanish National I+D program, one from Europen funding and being PI from one project funded by the UNED funds. I have been participating as a collaborator in 5 international projects (Spain, Portugal, Italy). I have published 16 peer-reviewed articles, 9 as 1st author, in international journals with high impact factors (Q1, Q2) and have presented 29 communications in 15 international and 2 national congresses. I have obtained the accreditation of Doctor Assistant for University Teaching by the Ministry of Education of Spain (2021). I have participated in Teaching tasks in the Biology I subject (Environmental Bachelor Degree) from 2017 to 2020 and in the Human Physiology subject for MSc Medical Physics (2021/2022; 2022/2023). I co-tutored three students for their graduation projects in the Environmental Grade (UNED) and one for the final master thesis Project (UNED/UA). I have organized and participated in dissemination activities such as Week of Science and the Week of Women and Girls in Science among others since 2017. In addition, I supervised the international stays of 2 doctoral students from Brazil and Tunisia for 6 and 3 months, respectively at the UNED. I was a member of the jury of a doctoral thesis commission at the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil (2022), external reviewer of postdoctoral projects for the Rovaltain Foundation (France, 2021), and projects for FONCYT, Argentine Government in 2022. I have been a reviewer of 13 manuscripts in 9 international journals since 2019.
