Bruna Mota is a young researcher at the Research Unit CEGIST (Centre for Management Studies of Instituto Superior Técnico), and an Assistant Professor at the Engineering and Management Department of Instituto Superior Técnico, in the University of Lisbon. She holds a PhD from the MITPortugal Program "Leaders for Technical Industries" (2018), for which she was awarded the prize for the best PhD thesis in the field of Sustainable Supply Chains in 2019 by the EURO Working Group on Sustainable Supply Chains. Bruna's research focuses on Sustainability, Green Practices, Reverse logistics and Closed-Loop Supply Chains, supported by Operations Research and Management Science methods, with applications in different industrial sectors such as the Forest, Agri-Food and Health sectors. She was also awarded the title of YoungWomen4OR 2020 by the WISDOM Forum (Women in Society: Doing Operational Research and Management Science) of the EURO (The Association of European Operational Research Societies). In the last 4 years, since finishing her PhD, Bruna has published 5 scientific papers (4 in Q1 and 1 in Q3 journals), has supervised 10 Master Thesis (to completion), and has lectured 6 different subjects (in the field of Operations Management, Operations Research, Supply Chain Management, Project in Operations and Logistics, and Quality Management), for which she was awarded 5 Excellent Teacher prizes. She is currently supervising 1 PhD student. She has also taken two maternity leaves in this period (2018 and 2020). She is currently a member of 1 active FCT funded project and was involved as a member in 3 others. Bruna has an h-index of 6 (by scopus) with over 400 citations.
