I, Sara Zandi, holding a bachelor's degree in civil technology engineering-water and sewage(university of applied science and technology, Esfahan, Iran), and a master's degree in hydraulic structures(Payame Noor University, Tehran, Iran). My interest for wastewater related issues started to consolidate very early, during my bachelor studies in the field of water and sewage engineering and urban wastewater treatment. After that, my academic and professional activities continued tied to this theme: in 2010, I worked at Bad Band Saz Company in the design of a water network (using the Water Gems software) and later, in 2012, I got employed in the Department of the Municipality, Tehran, Iran, where I could develop a team work on wastewater treatment and the effects of the application of new technologies in sewage systems during four years. In parallel to my work at the Tehran Municipality, in 2013 I continued my education with a master course in hydraulic and I finished the course with success in 2015. I have also recently contributed to the publication of 4 scientific papers: 2 papers were published in high impact factor journals, i.e. “Industrial biowastes treatment using membrane bioreactors(MBRs)”(first author) and “Underground carbon dioxide sequestration for climate change Mitigation” and 2 other articles in the environmental field, aiming to deal to global warming and renewable energy production, "Sustainable Approach for Site Selection of CO2 Underground Storage", and "Sustainable Approach for Site Selection of Underground Hydrogen Storage Facilities". Furthermore, I participated in the International Conference of Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change, Rome, November 2019 with the oral presentations “Application of membrane bioreactors (MBRs) for industrial wastewater treatment-A critical discussion” and “Recovery of the Waste Streams from Production Process of SiO2 -Fe3O4 Core-Shell Nanostructured Material”.
