Ana Bettencourt graduated in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Lisbon in 1993. She has a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences (2006) and Habilitation in Pharmaceutical Technology (2019) by the University of Lisbon. Since 2023, she is an Associate Professor with Habilitation in the Department of Pharmacy, Pharmacology and Health Technologies (at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lisbon, FFUL). She is Principal Investigator at the Research Institute for Medicines (@DD group: Advanced Technologies for Drug Delivery). 1. RESEARCH ACTIVITIES. a) Her central scientific interests are focused on polymeric advanced delivery-systems, biofilm-associated-infections, nanotechnology, 3D/4D-printing, regulation of medicines and health products; Quality and Food safety b) She holds successful track record in securing independent funding being LEADER or team member of national and international funded projects (e.g., 2022.06464.PTDC-Nano4Perio; PTDC/BTM-SAL/29335/2017-AntiBuGS-Cath, EXCLCTM-NAN01662012-NanoPoliBiofilm, FCT/DAAD-6818-NanoFISH); c) She participates in INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATIVE ACTIONS (COST Actions, IPROMEDAI-TD1305, NEWGEN-MP1301, ENIUS-CA16217, Transnational Cooperation with Germany); d) She has a major leading and networking role within different national and international research groups and interacted with 181 collaborator(s) co-authorship of scientific papers; e) She is TECHNICAL ADVISOR, member of CT 87 Health Technologies (IPQ/ISO) and Grant reviewer (FONCYT Argentina, DFG Germany, NFRS Serbia, PNA Poland, COST actions). 2.
