Lino Costa (PhD in Production and Systems Engineering, MSc in Informatics, DEng in Informatics and Systems Engineering) is Associate Professor (with tenure) at the Department of Production and Systems, School of Engineering, University of Minho, Portugal. He conducts his research activities in the ALGORITMI R&D centre, and is a member of its Systems Engineering and Operational Research (SEOR) group, with interests in the fields of: multi-objective optimization, nonlinear optimization, evolutionary algorithms, and applied statistics. He is the co-author of more than 80 scientific papers in indexed (e.g., ISI, Scopus) publications in international peer reviewed journals (e.g., Evolutionary Computation, International Journal of Production Economics, Optimization, Optimization Methods and Software, Structural and Multidisciplinary Optimization), and conferences (e.g., ACM GECCO, IEEE CEC, EMO). He has been a regular reviewer of ISI JCR journals (e.g., IEEE Transactions on Evolutionary Computation, Evolutionary Computation, IEEE Intelligent Systems, European Journal of Operational Research). He was member of the program committee of more than 40 international scientific events (e.g., ACM GECCO, IEEE CEC, EMO).
