Patrícia Pinheiro is a PhD researcher, professor and clinical psychologist. Completed the PhD in Applied Psychology (Clinical Psychology; 2019) at the University of Minho - School of Psychology. She is Assistant Professor at University of Maia and a at the University Portucalense. Published several articles in ISI journals and a book chapter. Organized 3 scientific events. Supervise Master Students in clinical, health and forensic Psychology (24 concluded Master thesis). Currently, supervise 7 PhD students (3 ongoing FCT grants). Patrícia participated as PhD Student Fellow in 1 project, Research Fellow in 3 projects and Researcher in 2 projects. Has received 5 awards and/or honors. In her curriculum Ciência Vitae the most frequent terms in the context of scientific output are: depression; anxiety disorders; assimilation of problematic experiences; cognitive-behavioral therapy; blended Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy; psychotherapeutic change; emotional processing; emotion-focused therapy; clinical trial. She is involved on training psychotherapists in CBT using Deliberated Practice, and clinical trials blending CBT and physical exercise on depression treatment. Patrícia has several scientific works focused on the assimilation of traumatic/problematic experiences, using the Assimilation Model as a theoretical/methodological approach.
