Architect (2015) from the University of Sevilla (US), with an Erasmus Scholarship (2012/2013) completed at the HTWG Konstanz (Germany). Later, she was awarded an Argo Scholarship (FICYT, MECD) for a six-month internship (01/11/2016 - 30/04/2017) at Praeger Richter Architekten GmbH in Berlin. In 2017, she secured a PhD contract from the Junta de Extremadura (PD16027, 2017-2021) in the field of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering at the Industrial Engineering School of the University of Extremadura (UEx) under the supervision of Dr. Fernando Guiberteau and Dr. Ángel Luis Ortiz. She was enrolled in the interuniversity PhD programme between the UEx and the US: "Science and Technology of New Materials". Her doctoral thesis, titled "Processing of New B4C Ultra-Hard Composite Materials by Transient Liquid-Phase Assisted by Spark Plasma Sintering", focused on the development of new ultra-hard materials using advanced sintering techniques. She received the second prize in the VIII G9 Doctoral Conference and III Scientific Dissemination Conference (25/11/2020) in the area of Architecture and Engineering after presenting the results of her PhD. She successfully defended her thesis on 01/12/2021, obtaining the highest distinction CUM LAUDE together with the International Mention and the Extraordinary Doctorate Award (16/12/2022). Additionally, she was recognized with the second prize in the III SECV-YOUNEXA Thesis Award (05/05/2022). During her PhD, she completed two research visits. The first, at the Institute of Ceramics and Glass (CSIC) in Madrid (20/10/2018 - 20/01/2019), focused on the optimization of aqueous B4C suspensions with TiAl and nanocarbonaceous reinforcements (rGO) to achieve homogeneous powder mixtures through freeze-drying, later forming green bodies using various casting techniques for subsequent sintering via spark plasma sintering. The second research stay, funded by the JECs Trust, took place at the Department of Environmental Engineering, Technical University of Denmark (DTU) in Copenhagen (01/09/2020 - 01/12/2020), focusing on developing new B4C ceramic membranes for micro/ultrafiltration applications in water treatment. Currently, she holds a Margarita Salas postdoctoral contract at the University of Extremadura (01/01/2023 - 31/12/2024). She developed the first part of this contract at the Department of Materials Engineering and Ceramics at the University of Aveiro during 2023, and is currently continuing at the Faculty of Physics, University of Seville until the end of 2024. Her research during this period focuses on combining superhard and ultra-hard ceramics with small amounts of novel reactive sintering additives to enable their ultrafast densification at moderate temperatures. After densification, the resulting ceramics are being evaluated through microstructural and mechanical characterization, as well as systematic electrochemical studies to assess their corrosion resistance. She has participated in 4 R&D projects, published 1 book chapter and 12 scientific articles (212 citations; h-index: 9 on 05-11-24) in JCR Q1 journals (top-ranked in the field of ceramic materials) with an average impact factor of 5.8. Her research has been presented at 16 conferences and workshops (7 national and 9 international), with 12 oral presentations, 1 invited talk, and 6 posters. She is a member of the Spanish and American Ceramic Society and serves as the Spanish representative in the Young Ceramist Network from January 2024 until August 2025. During her PhD, she taught at UEx in the area of Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering (4.35 ECTS credits) and served as a substitute lecturer in 2022 in the field of Architectural Constructions (16.5 ECTS credits). She has organized 3 teaching courses and conferences and has completed 33 R&D-related courses.
