Jaqueline Rocha, was born in Aveiro, Portugal in 1989. She has a PhD on Biotechnology with specialization in Microbiology, performed at the Portuguese Catholic University. She also has a Degree on Biotechnology and a MSc on Industrial and Environmental Biotechnology, both obtained at the University of Aveiro. She has been a collaborator in different national and international scientific projects and was a visiting researcher in one national and two international research laboratories (US and Spain). These experiences improved her competences and experience in the domains of microbiology and molecular biology techniques, comparative genomics and bioinformatic tools. Currently, she is working at i3S, as a Junior Researcher, where she is involved in the antimicrobial efficacy assessment of the technology related to a medical device. She is also involved in the regulatory framework related to the submission of documents to obtain approval for the clinical assays. As result of her scientific activity, she has a total of 20 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals with a total of 813 citations by 725 documents (h-index: 11).
