PhD Candidate in Law at NOVA School of Law, NOVA University Lisbon, where she also completed her Master’s Degree in Law and Security (2019). Her doctoral research in Legal Analysis and Human Rights, funded by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), examines the legal-philosophical nature of cyberspace as a legal heterotopia. She is a researcher at CEDIS – Research & Development Centre on Law and Society, and is affiliated with several international research initiatives, including AEQUALITAS: Justice, Democracy and Citizenship without Borders (FCT-funded) and the CIDRA Network – Creating a Joint Infrastructure for Dialogue, Research and Advocacy between Europe and Africa (European Union-funded). She is also a researcher at NOVA BrAIn – Ethics, Aesthetics, and Epistemology for the Digital Age. She has held visiting and research positions at Tilburg University’s Institute for Law, Technology and Society (TILT), and has undertaken research mobility at the University of Ljubljana under the Erasmus+ Programme. Her professional experience includes roles as an internal security auditor, advocacy officer, and freelance translator. She has contributed to higher education governance and international cooperation, including as Project Manager of the Intra-Africa Pax Lusófona project (EACEA-funded) and as part of the Executive Coordination of the Master’s Degree in Public Law and Sustainable Development at the University of São Tomé and Príncipe. She has also served as a member of a judicial selection panel at the Centre for Judicial Studies (CEJ), Portugal, and as a member of External Review Panels for the Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES), Portugal. From 2020 to 2023, she was a researcher at the NOVA Refugee Clinic – Legal Clinic. Earlier, she was awarded a grant by IAPMEI under the StartUP Voucher Measure (StartUP Portugal Programme), supporting an entrepreneurship project. She holds a Law degree from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (2016). Her main research interests lie in the Philosophy of Law, Sociology of Law, Human Rights, and International Law.
