Lídia Patrícia Tomé, PhD in Sociology from the University of Évora in 2015, a Master of Statistical Modelling and Data Analysis from the University of Évora and in Demography from the University of Lund, European Doctoral School of Demography. Specialisation in Demography, her research focuses on life course events such as transition to parenthood and ageing, the fertility tempo and quantum estimation component and demographic projection. Lídia is also starting her research on the relationship between low fertility and infertility, as well as the economic crises, the child cost and reduction on fertility quantum. She is integrated member and at the Interdisciplinary Centre for History, Culture and Societies (CIDEHUS, University of Évora), and editor chief from the info-letter Population News and Trends. Since February 2018, she is an Invited Assistant Professor (Department of Sociology, University of Évora).
