Brooks Marmon

Post-doctoral Fellow at The Ohio State University's Mershon Center for International Security Studies with extensive research and professional experience in Africa. Political historian with a specialization in African decolonization and Cold War era pan-African diplomacy. Received a PhD in African Studies from the University of Edinburgh (2020). Previously a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Pretoria's Department of Historical and Heritage Studies. Maintains an appointment as a Research Associate in that department. Has consulted for the African Development Bank and Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe. Significant experience as an international development administrator in Washington DC and in the field.
