Yoád David Luxembourg Ph.D. is a Design researcher, innovator, and business developer with a versatile background in the field of Design, both in terms of education and work experience. He has studied Arts, Architecture, Graphic Design, Industrial Design and Fashion Design, as well as earned a series of educational degrees in the scientific areas of Design up to his Ph.D. in Design, Media and Culture in Dec. 2015 (University of Porto). Through the years he has built a vast and valuable network of contacts, researched and taught in Design schools and universities in the Netherlands (DAE, HKU) and Portugal (ETIC, UBI, ESAD.CR). Since 2008, Yoád is working in the field of Fashion Design as creative and strategic director, involved in R&D, marketing and communication of the Sustainable Fashion brand Elmentum.store. Yoád has traveled to many countries, crossing continents and cultures for business and pleasure and brings with him this professional and cultural experience that will be a very valuable addition to any Design education program. Currently he is invited auxiliary professor in UBI Course of Fashion Design, and an invited Adjunct Porffesor in ESAD.CR cources of Design Industiral and Interior Space Design. Yoad aims to contributed in an enriching way, strengthening and integrating a specialized work team focused on the scientific area of the courses he is involved in. Using his cross-cultural and cross-disciplinary perspectives and professional know-how, adding a critical faculty in the areas of design with skills to evaluate each course in light of the market needs and future perspectives of students. With the perspectives and know-how that he brings, with his skills, and experiences as a lecturer, project manager, designer and creative director Yoád strives to successfully support and contribute, greatly, to the work, goals, and curriculums of Design education.
