Jan Jacob Keizer. Is a plant ecologist by academic formation and forest eco-hydrologist by experience, with a special focus on the measurements of wildfire effects on hydrological and erosion processes and their mitigation. Is Principal Investigator with Habilitation (since 2019) of the University of Aveiro, at the Department of Environment and Planning and affiliated to the GeoBioTec research center. Founded the earth surface processes (esp) team in 2005, with the start of the EROSFIRE project, and coordinated it till 2019 and during the first half of 2022. He has been among the 2% most-cited researchers in his field since 2019.
