Rita Silva is an assistant researcher at the CESAM & Biology Dept., University of Aveiro. Rita completed her PhD in Biology and Ecology of Global Change in 2016 by University of Aveiro. Rita is PI of the international project "TERRA-Climate change impacTs in EstaRRejA region" from International Observatory Hommes-Milieux Estarreja. Rita has received two poster awards and participated as Master Student Fellow in 1 project, PhD Student Fellow in 1 project, and as researcher in 12 projects (TERRA, NETA, ENTOSAFE, METOXCLIM, SENSE, MICROCLIM, ECOCENE, NanoFARM, NanoFase, WE-NEED, GlobalTox, TBTRESENSE). Rita was a contracted researcher in a project coordinated by industry (NETA - New Strategies for Waste Water Treatment). In their professional activity Rita interacted with >100 collaborators, as showed by the co-authorship of several scientific papers and supervised degree and master students. Throughout this period, Rita has been involved in different outreach activities by communicating/disseminating scientific knowledge for specialized and unspecialized audiences (e.g. visiting schools, science fairs). Keywords: climate change, sustainability, circularity, soil and water ecotoxicology, environmental risk assessment, insects, functional biology, chemical mixtures, multigenerations, genotoxicity.
