Sara Rodrigues has a PhD in Biology (FCUP; 2018) with solid experience in physiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology of different aquatic organisms and complementary expertise in risk assessment and ecotoxicology of several xenobiotics, and on the integrated assessment of water quality and ecological potential of reservoirs, using several biological responses (multispecies and multibiomarkeras approach). In 2019, SR earned an investigator position (REDEFINE - ref: POCI-01-0145-FEDER-029368) at CIIMAR-UP, which ended in October 2021. Since November of 2021, SR is a researcher of CIIMAR/FCUP (2020.00464.CEECIND - CEEC Individual/3rd edition). In the last 5 years, SR has had the opportunity to consolidate her career in scientific research focused on aquatic ecology and ecotoxicology. SR co-leads lab. (FreshLab ¿ Freshwater Ecology, Ecotoxicology and Environmental Monitoring laboratory) in the area of ecotoxicity of different xenobiotics (pesticides, detergents and pharmaceuticals) and environmental safety to non-target organisms. Over the years of a short, yet prestigious career, SR has been specializing in individual (reproduction, behavior of organisms), and sub-individual responses, (multimarker approaches: biochemical, physiological, cellular and tissue/organ ecotoxicological tools). Being involved in 3 national/international I&D funded projects, SR is author/co-author of 1 book, 2 book chapter and 24 scientific articles in high-impact factor (Q1 and Q2) journals in the areas of Aquatic ecotoxicology and Environmental Sciences. Up to now, PI has an h-index of 13(SCOPUS)/14(Scholar) with a total of 505(SCOPUS)/662(Scholar) citations. Over the years, SR has been actively involved in communication and outreach activities (for different target audiences), participating in the organization of international and national scientific events, and giving laboratory assistance to different academic degrees. In the last 5 years, PI accomplished the supervision of 6 BSc students from UP, 5 MSc thesis (UP and UA), participated in 6 MSc and 7 BSc academic juries as an arguer, and participated in several paper reviews.

2021/10 ReDEFine project webinar intended to disseminate the results obtained in the project's target ecosystems (Miranda, Pocinho, Aguieira and Alqueva reservoirs) and promote scientific discussion on several topics provided in the program. Several themes were discussed within the project's objectives, with the participation of 8 speakers and around 58 participants (from different academic and governmental institutions: APA, ARH-Centro, ARH-Alentejo, DRHI).
