Dalila Pinto Coelho is a Researcher at the University of Porto and a full member of the Centre of Research and Intervention in Education (CIIE) of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences (FPCEUP). She has a background in Educational Sciences, from the Universities of Coimbra (5-year degree, 2004) and Porto (PhD, 2019). Other specialised training includes international development, supervision and evaluation in education. Her research for the last decade explores the role of education for socially just futures in two strands: sustainable development and global education; and postcolonial, decolonial and antiracist issues in education and international development. Currently, her work addresses the role of HE in global education, in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, in antiracist education and teacher training, and the possibilities for decolonizing HE. Previous research addressed community education policies and strategic development, and technologies and open education in HE (Polytechnic Institute of Beja, University of Aveiro). he has been active in the evaluation of public policies in global education in Portugal issued by the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Education, and a teacher trainer in Education Sciences (Polytechnic Institute of Beja; University of Porto). Since 2020, she has been PI of several projects and member of the management committee of a COST Action. She has been awarded four FCT contracts. She integrates CIIE's CoP Participation, Communities and Political Education and is a member of international academic networks on her fields of research, based at the University of Leeds, UCL and the University of Göettingen, and other national networks in education. She integrates an international team (long term collaboration) from UCL’s Academic Network on Global Education and Learning in charge of the Digest, an online open source, searchable database collection and review of scientific production available on global education in multiple languages. She has acted as expert for the Portuguese case for the last three editions with a large team of experts from Poland, Portugal/Brazil, Italy, Spain, The Netherlands, UK, Germany, Finland, France and Slovakia. She is a member of Sinergias, a community of practice (CoP) aiming to bridge civil society and academia in transformative education, where she has been contributing to reflect on epistemic justice and knowledge production issues. She is a member of the editorial board of the international, multilingual Journal promoted by this CoP. She integrates the European Commission’s Development Education and Awareness Raising multistakeholder group as academic representative. She has extensive editorial and reviewer experience, being a regular contributor to national and international conferences. In the last five years, her research was published in seven peer-reviewed publications as first author. She supervises post-graduate researchers in the field of global education in Europe and East Africa. She is a member of international teams, namely in the Iberoamerican space and in Europe.

I integrated the team responsible for the final external evaluation of ENED 2018-2022, a public policy promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Education, implemented by a comprehensive set of education actors (government bodies, non-governmental organizations, civil society actors). This process resulted in a report, with policy recomendations.
