Josman Dantas Palmeira completed his PhD in pharmaceutical sciences in 2018 at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Porto (Portugal) in the specialty of microbiology, where he worked with antibiotic resistance in the veterinary field in frame of One Health approach, period which he was a fellow. His graduate was in Pharmacy in 2009 at the State University of Paraíba (Brazil). He published 35 articles in scientific journals, in addition to 89 communications made, whether oral or poster, at scientific events. In his professional activities, he interacted with 150 collaborators in co-authoring scientific works. He has been or is involved in orientation, mentoring or tutoring 27 academic works at various levels (PhD, Master, etc.). He have received 6 awards in the last 7 years. In his academic/professional career he created a network of contacts in several countries (Portugal, Germany, France, Spain, Georgia, Brazil, Paraguay, Mozambique and Egypt). His current interests include: functional food, sustainability, by-product valorization, antimicrobial activity of natural compounds, one health approach, veterinary microbiology, antibiotic resistance, zoonotic infectious diseases, human-animal-environment interface.
