I have several years of research experience working on Social and Behavioral Change as part of multicultural and multi-disciplinary teams, with a specific focus on Health Risk Communication and Gender-Based Violence. I am proficient in different qualitative and quantitative methods and have several peer-reviewed publications in Q1 and Q2 journals. As part of my PhD project, I conducted a theory-based formative research evaluation process for the development and testing of intimate partner violence campaigns, considering the literature on health risk communication and persuasion. I have also I am proficient in SPSS, NVivo, and Microsoft Office software, and can conduct Content and Thematic Analysis. Examples of outputs across these years are research articles, proposals, reports, workshops, and conference presentations. I have advanced training on the topics of gender, gender-based violence, intersectionality, and LGBTQIA+ topics. Additionally, as part of a research internship at UNESCO Dakar I developed a theoretical model to explain help-seeking in school-related gender-based violence (SRGBV) contexts. UNESCO Dakar has published a news piece about this theoretical model. I also supported the implementation of projects to address HIV and SRGBV through comprehensive sexuality education. Other research roles that I have performed include being a Teaching Assistant and a Researcher working on the development of an active video game for motor rehabilitation. Having been part of initiatives with a range of international stakeholders, from the Global Working Group to End School Related Gender-Based Violence to European Commission’s work groups, I am well-equipped to nurture and expand partnerships with both internal and external collaborators across diverse geographical and cultural landscapes. These experiences have also fine-tuned my communication and presentation skills, equipping me to drive effective stakeholder engagement.
