Tania Pereira completed PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2014/11/27 at the University of Coimbra Faculdade de Ciencias e Tecnologia and a Master in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 by the University of Coimbra. Currently, she is Research Assistant at INESC TEC - Institute for Systems and Computer Engineering, Technology, and Science. She is the author/co-author of 45 articles in journals and 7 sections of books. She lectured several subjects on the biomedical engineering domain at the University of Coimbra, the University of Lleida, the University of Porto, and the University of Portucalense. She is a supervisor/co-supervisor of 3 PhD students and of 49 MSc students/Internships. She has received 4 awards and/or honors. She participated in several scientific projects, two of them as PI: PI of the Marie Currie Fellowship and, currently, PI of an exploratory project from FCT. In her professional activities, she interacted with 143 collaborators and co-authorship scientific papers. The large experience on scientific projects, the great investment in writing proposals, the verified success in getting funding (two of them as PI), the extensive collaborations, and the number of PhD students under her supervision confirm her ability to create a consistent career pathway in the biomedical engineering domain.
