Fernando Perna

Fernando Perna. He completed his PhD in Economics on 01/04/2003 from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Algarve. He holds a Master's degree in Economics and Energy and Environmental Policy in 1994, and a Degree in Economics in 1992, both from the Higher Institute of Economics and Management – ISEG, University of Lisbon. He has been a lecturer in higher education since 1992 and, since 2003, in the category of coordinator professor at the High School of Tourism, Hospitality and Management of the University of Algarve. He was elected National Director of CiTUR – Centre for Research, Development and Innovation in Tourism in the 2020-2022 triennium. He has published 19 articles in specialized journals. It has 10 book chapters and 4 books. Received 1 award and/or honors. He participates and/or has participated as Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) in 9 projects, Researcher in 7 projects and Principal Investigator in 20 projects. He works in the area of Social Sciences with an emphasis on Economics and Management.
