Ana Margarida Tavares dos Santos Ferreira da Silva is a Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) research fellow, granted with a Doctoral scholarship with a PhD thesis devoted to tourism and coastal & maritime cultural heritage. She is a PhD student in the Tourism Doctoral programme of the University of Aveiro, holds a Master degree in Regional Planning - Innovation and Development Policies from the University of Aveiro, and a Bachelor degree in Marketing Management from the Portuguese Institute of Administration and Marketing (IPAM). She is also a collaborator member of the Research Group Tourism and Development¿ of GOVCOPP ¿ Research Unit in Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies (University of Aveiro), and of Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM), both from University of Aveiro. Over the past years she has been involved in several national and international projects related to her research interests, namely sustainable tourism and coastal and maritime heritage. Her last project was PERICLES - Preserving and Sustainably Governing Cultural Heritage and Landscapes in European Coastal and Maritime Regions, an H2020 project. She has 6 publications in Scopus indexed journals and books, 5 articles and 1 book chapter. Additionally, she has several other publications.
