Orlanda Tavares is a researcher with over 15 years of experience. She has completed her PhD in educational sciences in 2011 in the University of Porto, Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences. She currently works as an Assistant Professor at Lusófona University (Porto), as an integrated researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Centre for Education and Development (CeiED) and as a collaborator at the Centre for Research in Higher Education Policies (CIPES). She previously worked as a research fellow at the Portuguese Agency for Assessment and Accreditation of Higher Education (A3ES) for almost 13 years. Her research topics are mostly in the scientific area of Social Sciences, particularly in Educational Sciences, including higher education policies, Equity in higher education, academic inbreeding, employability, international student mobility and quality assurance. In her research activities, she interacted with 68 collaborators in co-authorship of scientific papers. In her google scholar record she has a total of 1269 citations, index h 21 and index i10 27. Her Scopus research record includes 32 research articles, 396 Citations and a h-index of 13 and has 30 verified reviews. She has published 4 books and has co-edited 4 international books (Palgrave/Springer), the most recent one being entitled "Equity Policies in Global Higher Education", published in open access (sponsorship by Lyrasis) available at: https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-030-69691-7. In total, she has published 13 book chapters. Additionally, she has organised 4 international scientific conferences/seminars.
