Débora Campos holds a PhD degree in Biotechnology and Food Science and Engineering from UCP, since 2019. During this period, she had one long-term mission to IPROBIQ, Universidad de Rosario (Rosario, AR), and three short-term missions, at International Nanotechnology Lab (Braga, PT), at UC Davis (Ca, USA) and at Food Systems Lab, MIT (Mass, USA). Her PhD related to 'Development and characterization of functional ingredients through the valorization of pineapple by-products' and was awarded for the R&D+i in the sustainability category at the Born from Knowledge (BfK) Idea Award and with a Letter of Commendation in recognition of her contribution on polyphenols and Health by the scientific committee of ICPH held in Japan. In 2019, she worked as a Post-Doc Researcher in the New Foods Department at AZTI (Bilbao, Spain), where she developed the H2020 project 'SMARTCHAIN', aiming to accelerate the short food supply chain, under the construction of robust business models and innovative practical solutions. Since 2020, she has been a Post-Doc Researcher at UCP working at The Biobased and Biomedical Products Lab, 1st under the MULTIBIOREFINERY project financially supported by FCT, studying composition and functional properties of food waste defining sustainable applications for industrial synergies. Currently, she is developing the H2020 project MIRACLE, in the development of exploitation plans and a robust business model, for the commercialization of the project outputs. Débora has 24 h-index (google academic), 49 research and review papers in peer-reviewed journals, 10 book chapters (1 from international collaboration) and more than 40 abstracts in (inter)national conferences. Author of a granted EU patent and co-author of 1 filled patent. She was the founder of the start-up AgroGrIN Tech (UCP Spin-off). She acquired competencies in tech transfer through intense participation in idea development and acceleration programs. She was selected by the EIT Food GFV¿2018 as a distinguishing PhD student and was selected for the 'EIT Food Innovator Fellowship 2019 as a talent with creative and innovative potential, for a program training at Cambridge, UK. She was a team member of NANODAIRY, GastroCure project (national projects) and BiValBi, FODIAC and MediSmart (EU projects) and later on MIRACLE (EU project). Débora is a co-supervisor of 3 PhD FCT grant students (2020-24), 1 PhD mobility student from Algeria and supervised 2 BSc students from Turkey. All of the aforenoted evidence reinforces the professional profile of Débora, as an international researcher, demonstrating high compromise with the work, excellence and especially with the collaborative works and showing excellent results.
