Diogo Luís holds a Master Degree in Marine and Atmospheric Sciences and a Licenciatura in Meteorology, Oceanography and Geophysics, both by University of Aveiro (UA). He is currently a Research Fellow of the project ATLACE - "ATLantic interactions via atmospheric water cycle: exploiting a unique dataset from the Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition for better understanding of clouds and precipitation" at the Centre for Environmental and Marine Studies (CESAM) of UA. Previously, he worked as Research Fellow, at Department of Physics of UA, under the project “Quantifying snowfall and its contribution to surface freshening in the Southern Ocean” in the framework of the Antarctic Circumnavigation Expedition (ACE) Project. On May 1st, 2023, he will start a new research fellowship at Department of Environment and Planning of UA, under a collaboration protocol between the university and the consortium PACOPAR - “Air quality assessment study in the municipality of Estarreja using modelling tools”. Diogo is (co-)author of 11 communications in national and international conferences. His research interests include the study of the hydrological cycle, atmospheric rivers, precipitation extremes, Polar Regions, Iberian Peninsula weather, air quality, and atmospheric aerosols.
