Joana Soeiro is a PhD student in Medical Biotechnology at the University of Aveiro, which she has been attending since 2021/2022. She obtained her Integrated Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Aveiro in 2021. Currently, she is a researcher at CICECO – Aveiro Institute of Materials. Her PhD research focuses on the theranostic potential of magnetic nanoparticles for optical hyperthermia, as contrast agents, and as cellular thermometers for MRI. Her work is centered in the fields of Medical Engineering, Nanotechnology, and Nanomaterials.
