Dr. Gomes is a highly accomplished individual with a solid educational background in Biology. She completed her undergraduate studies at the prestigious University of Aveiro before earning her Doctorate in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology from the same institution in 2017. During her doctoral studies, she collaborated with renowned institutions such as the University of Toronto and the University Health Network (UHN), further enriching her expertise in the field. After completing her doctorate, Dr. Gomes joined the COMPASS RG group as a postdoctoral researcher, where she played a crucial role in pioneering the development of 3D systems for tissue engineering. Her contributions to this innovative work have been widely recognized in the scientific community. In 2020, Dr. Gomes was promoted to Junior Researcher, where she now focuses on the chemical engineering of proteins to design cutting-edge tissue engineering and regeneration systems.
