I hold a Ph.D. in Sports Science from the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2021) and graduated in Sports and Physical Activity from the Instituto Superior Politécnico de Viseu (2014). Additionally, I obtained a Master's degree in Sports Science with a specialization in Team Sports from Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro (2016). I received a PhD Grant by Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia for the project CAMALEÃO - equipamento desportivo inteligente para medição do impacto fisiológico dos exercícios de treino (reference SFRH/BD/122259/2016). During my research, I received another grant for the project Symbiotic technology for societal efficiency gains: Deus exMachina (DEM), which allowed me to work with young talents from different sports, including football, basketball, table tennis, athletics, modern pentathlon, swimming, etc., in Talentódromo Desportivo de Vila Real. My hard work and dedication have paid off, as I have been awarded nine different distinctions regarding high-level standard research and scholar merit. I have published over 30 articles in indexed peer-reviewed journals, as well as five book chapters. Additionally, I have presented more than 50 conference abstracts and posters and collaborated with more than 50 researchers in co-authorship of scientific publications. The impact on the scientific community can be seen in my h-index of 11 with 390 citations on Google Scholar, as well as an h-index of 9 with 207 citations on SCOPUS. My publications have gained more than 30000 reads and I have more than 300 followers in ResearchGate. My expertise in Basketball is also ranked in ExpertScape, taking part of the Top 0.67% of 5824 published authors worldwide. I am an integrated member of Research Center in Sports Sciences, Health Sciences and Human Development (CIDESD), Núcleo de Investigação em Desporto e Exercício Físico (ISCE-Douro), and International Basketball Research Network (Spain). Additionally, I carried out my peer review activity in several journals (e.g., Scientific Reports, Plos One, Journal of Sports Sciences, Physician and Sportsmedicine, Research Quarterly for Exercise and Sport, etc.). In recognition of my outstanding contribution to the field, I was awarded the 2020 Outstanding Reviewer Award by the Journal of Sport and Health Science (Impact factor = 13.077). Currently, I am a Lecturer at the Universidade de Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro, Instituto Superior Politécnico de Viseu, and Instituto Superior de Ciências Educativas do Douro, where I conduct lectures in different academic degrees. I have also been a guest lecturer in Escuela Universitaria Real Madrid Universidad Europea, conducting lectures about theory and methodology of training. In addition to my academic pursuits, I hold a Level II Basketball Coach certification and have various accreditations in the field of strength and conditioning, including EXOS, DNS, FMS, CFSC, BPCC, and an ISAK level 1 accreditation. I have been a basketball coach for youth teams since 2005, and I have also worked as a strength and conditioning coach for the Portuguese U16 Men's Basketball Team, and as a tutor for Level I and II basketball trainees in Federação Portuguesa de Basquetebol.
