Elisabetta Girotto is an integrated researcher at the Institute of Contemporary History, Department of Human Sciences, Nova University of Lisbon (IHC/UNL/FCSH). Between 2009 and 2010 she was a fellow Marie Curie Erupean doctorate programme. Expert in: Contemporary history (society, politics, institutions) Gender and Family History. Audio-visual sources as an approach to political and cultural history, with particular reference to the transformations within the family in southern Europe (Portugal and Italy) from the 30s and 70s to the 20th century. Since 2010 she is part of the editorial board of the scientific journal "Officina della Storia" and part of the scientific committee "Archivi e Documenti". Since 2008 she has been a member of the Italian Society of Historians (SIS) where she has held organisational and teaching roles. Since 2019 she is part of European juri for the International PhD in History, Cultural Heritage and International Studies at the University of Cagliari. She has participated in and organised numerous national and international conferences. Among her latest publications: Consumption and political cultures on the threshold of the miracle.
