Chiara Ludovica Maria Nifosi

Chiara Nifosi is Assistant Professor of French Studies at the School of Arts and Humanities of the University of Lisbon, where she is also a member of the Center for Comparative Studies (CEComp). She obtained her PhD in Romance Languages and Literatures with a specialization in French and Francophone Studies at the University of Chicago (2020), where she also served as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Humanities for two years (2020-22). She was also a visiting scholar at the École Normale Supérieure in Paris in 2016-17. Chiara Nifosi joined the FLUL in January 2023 and has taught since then undergraduate and graduate courses in the area of 19th- and 20th-century French Studies, the history of social sciences, and cultural studies.
