Mariana is a research fellow at the Research Institute for Medicines (iMed) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidade de Lisboa. She completed her Master degree in Biological and Chemical Engineering at Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL). She also concluded the course on Laboratory Animal Sciences Category B, conducted by SPCAL and Faculty of Pharmacy, Universidade de Lisboa. Her area of interest is drug delivery systems, namely liposomes and the evaluation of the efficacy and safety of those nanoformulations using in vitro and in vivo models.
